Sparks & Sisterhood

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Sometimes you just have to give.... As much as I love a clean house...on a rainy day full of sniffles & little coughs...only Vit C suckers, forts, clothes basket castles, tea party's and yes, I really gave in...digging out a few Christmas movies can make a little girl feel better! Babes in Toyland and The Polar Express it was.... Love playing with my girls and cuddling up with naps...what a precious day.

After jumping through hoops, running through obstacles and dodging curve balls...our time was finally here! But not until we were packed & loaded in the car...and out of Roanoke, did we stop holding our breath. It seemed as though things have not been going our way for a while, but everyone needs a break, away from stress, material things and the hustle & bustle of everyday life. And to have one whole week with just family time...well, it's priceless!                                                    Are We There Yet?!
