Practice Run for the Future ~ Part 1 (Swim/Dance)

Today certainly gave me a taste of what is to come.  Today's agenda:

9-10am - Hailey's Swimming Lessons
10-11am - Play time in the pool, getting ready for dance class and driving 30mins after realizing we left Hailey's dance shoes at home...:/
11-12 - Hailey's Dance Class
12-2:30 - Lunch, buying Lindsey's friend Annabelle a birthday present, change clothes, power nap
2:30-5:15 - Annabelle's Birthday Party
5:15-present - drive home, make dinner, give baths...AND I'M STILL STANDING! Well, sitting, but I'm still in the upright position, so I'm giving myself props.  And might I add that we arrived to our 1st pit stop a whoppin' 15 mins early!!  That never happens!

So in the mist of all the chaos, I was able to get a few...okay, a ton of cute pics of the girls.

Testing the waters...

Beginning to become more comfortable...

Lindsey wasn't very sure about all of this water...at first.

She finally decided to put her feet in....

Hailey's teacher helping her into the water...

Proud mommy moment...her teacher said, she was a natural!

Lindsey has a love for buckles...so glad they gave her a floaty backpack to play with to entertain while mommy was biting her fingernails!
The last activity that the class participated in I did not capture because I...as well as Hailey was in a state of shock.  Hailey was first in line and had no idea what was about to happen.  With their floats on they had to jump into the pool while holding their teachers hands(teacher were in the pool). Sure enough, Hailey went for it...not expecting to go under...but she came up without coughing! I was so proud of her!  Needless to say, that was the only jump for her...a little scary and unexpected.

After class, the girls wanted to play for a while and Lindsey turned fearless...guess who's getting swimming lessons next?!

And then, it was time to dance.  They are learning their recital piece...
and Hailey's front center!!

We've got alot of practicing to do...you know, in our spare time!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
