Independence Day 2012!

July 4th started out with the excitement of matching outfits & flags for the girls!

Another hot day....spent the morning at Aunt Julie's pool.
Lindsey says, "I ready! Swim me mommy!"

Hailey has transitioned from fearing the water to Miss Independent with the float....

And has now conquered her greatest fear of going under!  We are so proud of her!

And as for Lindsey....well, she's fearLESS!

Later, we headed to Chris' parents for dinner and fireworks

which turned into...going home instead of fighting a crowd, not knowing if Lindsey would enjoy the fireworks.  Plus, the fireworks did not start until 9:30...on a week night.
So glad we decided to go home and semi-enjoy the multi-family firework display in our neighborhood, since my hair almost got pulled out!  Poor Lindsey did not like the sound of them, but enjoyed the pretty colors.  After sitting at the end of our driveway for 20mins...we ventured indoors to watch the fireworks display in the T.V. and enjoy all the patriotic music...

And I love that both of my girls are unable to sit still the minute they hear music...they're both natural dancers!

Hailey's 6th Birthday 'Gymnastics' Party!

Bye Bye Long Hair!

So, I usually wait until I'm sitting in the chair at the hair salon to decided exactly what I want to do with my hair.  I've been going to the same hair dresser for over 10years and she knows me well.  I mentioned that Hailey has been wanting me to cut my hair short for a while now...similar to when I cut it off when she was only 15months old.  She has held onto a picture of me with short hair...so.....last minute decisions, decisions.                                                    Bye Bye long hair!  Hello short hair!  Hailey was very surprised & happy when my sister brought her the the salon to see the after math!  So, she requested to go home and take pictures of us...and it wouldn't b...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
