Busy Weekend ~ blowing noses, birthday dinners & books!

Poor Lindsey still has the "yuckies"...thank goodness tomorrow is her 18month check-up.  Maybe(as much has I hate medicine) they will give her a small dose of an antibiotic to kick the "yuckies" out of her system.  I know she would appreciate it and would be so grateful to never...ever see the nose suction again...ever!  I even thought it would calm her nerves to let her take it out on one of her baby dolls, but she still cringes and oh boy, she's a fighter!
Thank goodness Hailey enjoys helping me clean...after countless times washing hands, scrubing table tops, vacuuming and dispersing 1/2 of a can of lysol into the air...I think we're making progress...I think...
We were able to go out a few times for Chris' and my mom's birthday dinners...Hibachi & the Home Place!  Even my Uncle Fred came in town to go with us!  We came back to my house afterwards to give mom her birthday blessing.  If you're wondering where Chris is...he decided to drop off a "Home Place" goodie bag to a friend who has a back injury and didn't get home in time to make to family pic.

And of course, after eating pretty much all weekend, my 2 little bottomless pits still have room for pretzels. The jar was full on Friday...I'm determined to find a pretzel dispenser on Pinterest!  Seriously.

So after a busy weekend...it's my favorite time of the evening...bedtime!!  Hailey is starting to read small words and loves to try to read her night time books.  Lindsey has to try too...whatever big sis does, right?

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
