Quarantined

Call me over-protective...call me what you want, but I hate germs!  And I certainly do not take my kids anywhere to share their "yuckies."  So, today was a stay at home day for the girls due to stuffy, sore, red noses.  I tried to separate the girls as much as I could, but after about 10mins...their love for each other overrides....so, what do you do?
Two forts...same room

Fort #1

Fort #2

Lindsey actually enjoyed playing in her crib...with all of her stuffed animal and baby dolls to listen to her read one of my childhood favorites, "Pat the Bunny."
So, to help the "yuckies" go away...they gorged tons of liquids, apples, oranges and of course impressed mommy with their veggie eating!  As long as Hailey ate hers first, Lindsey would copy her followed by an applause...and funny faces...I think they're feeling better!  And yes, Lindsey requires both a fork & spoon, even though she prefers her fingers.

It rained all day today, so we weren't able to go shop for cupcake's (today is Chris' Birthday!) per Hailey's request.  Considering, she would be the one to eat them due to Chris' lack of a sweet tooth, that was probably for the best.  Instead, they were excited to give him the homemade cards they made yesterday at Mimi's!  He loved them!

Chris,
Thank you for all you do.  You're such a hard worker and I love you so much!  Can't wait for our date night/birthday dinner!  Sushi night!! Happy Birthday hunny!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...

Bible lesson & Haircuts!

Hailey had a VERY hard time with her decision to get a hair cut...especially after learning about Samson(in the Bible)!  She wants to be as strong as Samson & remembers that he lost his strength when Delilah cut his hair.  I had to make a promise to her that she would not loose her strength...but that it is healthy to trim your hair...thus, it will make it grow longer!  Glad she takes to Bible very literally though.... Kristen did a great job & Hailey liked her hair!  After her hair cut...she asked Kristen & I to feel her "bones," as she sticks out her arm.  "Wow! You are soooo strong!" we said.  Hailey was thrilled!
