Babes in Toyland!

The girls have had so much fun playing with their new toys which have made life's little lessons a big reality...share & play fair.  So hard to do when you're 4 & almost 18 months old!

They both love their computer games...Hailey enjoys http://www.nickjr.com/, http://www.sproutonline.com/, and her new fav, http://www.icanbe.barbie.com/.  Lindsey's favorite is, http://www.starfall.com/.  It's so hard to share one computer, but they do enjoy playing and learning together while they finish up the leftover Christmas cookies...

Lindsey stole the first kiss of the New Year!  Yes, baby Levi...or as Lindsey calls him, baby "Vevi", made an appearance and both girls got to hold him(6weeks old).  Lindsey didn't want to give him up or let him go home...she loves babies and is already becoming quite the little caretaker.

After Baby Levi went home, we finished playing the Wii.  Chris & I played the Trivia game & Golf, which was tons of fun!  He's soooo not much on cameras.  Can't believe I haven't broken him in yet!
Then it was time to watch the ball drop to bring in the New Year!!  Hailey was a trooper...we were the only two awake to see it happen this year.  But in no time, after all the popcorn, orange juice & dancing to the music, she was fast asleep too....

Needless to say...we were pooped the next day and required much needed naps & relaxation!  Lindsey enjoyed at little T.V. time and her newest discovery...making faces.  Gee, I wonder who she gets that from?!  Notice the blue & white...ummm, ceramic, so called toy(pepper shaker)!  Yes, she cannot depart from "anything" Frosty the Snowman...I think we may have a problem.  I also think, Frosty may be out all year round!

Like I said before, I just love when the girls are playing so nicely together!!....I love these moments!

Lindsey has so many stuffed animals & baby dolls to choose from now, it's unbelievable!  So during "rest" time or nap time...it takes her a while to pick out, who or what she will sleep with.  These are the two lucky babies. She has even started talking to them...giving them bottles and saying, "baby, awe...tired? Yes...okay."
Okay...so it's time for the "Proud Mommy Moment!!!!!"  Yes, Lindsey has started showing interest in the P.O.T.T.Y.!!...and even asks to go! Not every time, but...it's a start.

Both girls absolutely love to eat...again, I wonder where they get that from(ME!).  So, we all discovered the old fashioned caramel dip for apples...yum!  It's a hit, healthy(not really, but the apples are) and it fills them up..SCORE!
I have to add this in for future reference.  Hailey has become "too cool" for the camera sometimes. Plus enjoys making faces...so here's her "stink face." This is so going to come back and haunt her one of these days...

Just like any child...they both love hiding and making forts.  Thank goodness for dining room tables, portable DVD players(watching the movie Tangled) & snacks...yes, even mommy can fit or I can get household chores accomplished. Hailey's favorite snack is popcorn and Lindsey's is "petsels" aka pretzels...go figure.
And when it comes to household chores....Hailey is my sidekick!  And for those who do not believe, here she is, hard at work.  I did not ask her...she either begins without me, or gets upset when I start without her.  Plus we play alot of clean up games which adds the fun!

Lindsey sure does love a clean floor!  I will never forget her laugh, especially during a game of "I'mmm gonna get youuuuu!!!"

Plus it gives Hailey more room the hop, skip, jump and wave that Wii wand in every direction there ever was!  Thank goodness for the wrist strap....  She's actually pretty good.  I think we have a pro golfer/tennis player or bowler on our hands!

The end the week...things are getting back to normal and Hailey enjoyed going back the her Awana program tonight.  She is a Cubbie this year and loves every minute!  Here is a picture of Hailey and her buddy Shakaylah tonight at awana.  It's so cute to see them holding hands and being friends.

I'm so proud of my girls and their accomplishments...but this means only one thing, they're starting to grow up, Sigh.

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
