23 Months Later...

Noooooo!!!!  Somebody, make time stand still!

I can't believe that my sweet little Lindsey Grace is 23 months today!  How did this happen?  You always here the quote, "time flies."  But until you experience it, you have no clue how fast it goes!

How did she go from THIS:

To THIS.....in a blink of an eye?!:

Goodness...how time flies!  At 23 months, she is beginning to think that she's too big for her booster seat and prefers to sit in a regular chair for dinner, (which doesn't happen very often) loves the attention of her big sister and has such a large vocabulary thanks to her very smart big sister...you see where this is going...yes, they're truely best friends.  I hope it stays this way!

She's beginning to think she can fix her own hair and everything is, "I do it!"...

And has a love for dance(like her big sister) & music...

But don't let her fool you!  Behind this sweet face... when it comes to defense, she's #1!  Yes, she's a fighter & a biter, mostly brought on by a controversy with her big sister...and she wins almost everytime.

Her recent 1st are...1.)loud outbursts in the grocery store  2.) growing excitement when I go to pick her up after work...running towards me, yelling "Maaaauuuummeee!"...I'll take # 2 over # 1...and 3.) Loves to say/repeat her own bed time prayers, "Ge us, thak you..Haa ley, Li zy, Maummy, Diddy(sometimes, she gets it right & says "daddy")...fir house, hef(aka, health) and food. Amen."

Her favorite foods are: "Bro key'"(Broccoli), "Strawbellies" & "Chi-ken"...followed by a "bauk, bauk."...:)
Her favorite drink is: Orange Juice...seriously, I think she could live off of this. She still can't drink any kind of milk except Rice Milk and sometimes Coconut Milk.  We still are not sure why, since she can eat yogurt & cheese.
She loves to bring me books, especially before bedtime and requests, "read me?"

She's starting to show some tendencies of being scared & will announce that she's "cared", but recently added words like, "monster", "spider"..or just when Hailey is chasing her and she's tired of running.

She still wakes up in the middle of the night and hollers, "Maaauuummeeee!"...not everynight, but most. And yes, I've never been the mom that makes my child sleep alone in their beds when they want to be comforted by their mommy, so we still snuggle up in my bed...and I love it!(one of these days, their going to "think" they're too big for this).  Even though I am her comfort...she is my comfort as well...I'm going to miss these days.

She loves the great outdoors, but would rather be at the park than a pool, and rather in the shade than the sun.

She still has a huge love for babies/babydolls, which are all, "awe, cute!" per Lindsey.  We both get our fix of real babies once a month in the nursery at church...when I'm not keeping the nursery, it's tough. She has seperation anxiety, which is new to me considering we "never" went through this with Hailey(known for never meeting a stranger...even as a baby, Hailey would go to anyone and look at me like, "See ya later, Mom!".) I don't know which is worse?  1.)Having a child who doesn't mind if you're not there, or  2.)having one who puts up a fight and cries bloody murder watching you walk away...yeah, definitely #2!

She loves hugs and kisses, but nothing reassures her like a hug & kiss from Hailey when she's hurt or after getting in trouble.

She has also taken a love for animals just like Hailey, but her favorite, lately is a Jaquar...I'm thinking this is from the Nick Jr. Show, Go Diego Go

She has the best memory and is starting to sing theme songs from her favorite TV shows, as well as recite routine moves from Hailey's dance classes/recital...pretty impressive!  She has always had a love for the Nick Jr. show Olivia and of course, loves Nina & Star along with the Pajaminals on the Sprout Channel.  But, here lately, she has taken an extreme love for Max & Ruby...ugh.  I just don't understand.  Hailey went through this phase too.  Not sure why they love this show...two bunny rabbits...a brother with a bossy older sister.

I find it strangely funny, that when she sees Charlie Brown, she thinks he's Calliou(another favorite cartoon character from the Sprout Channel).

Anyway, she's still a sweetie and I can't believe she will be 2 next month!  I was thinking about this last night which brought tears to my eyes...reminiscing over the past 2 years...we are truely blessed!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
