June Bugs & Monkeys

It's June!... my sweet girls are loving the weather and excited to be outside....like always.  We picked up some sidewalk chalk from the dollar store and took Hailey's new bike that she got for her birthday(from Uncle Terry & Aunt Janice) outside for a ride on the driveway.

My little June Bugs ~

Wondering if Lindsey will be ambidextrous like her Aunt Mary...it looks that way!

And as for Hailey, we decided to make a note every year what she wants to be when she grows up since this changes so often.  Hmmm, let me think, we went from an Astronaut, to a Animal Doctor, to "just like Mommy", to a Dentist and now.....

Yes, she wants to be a tooth fairy.  I asked her why and she responded, "because I love to surprise people and bring them presents...plus I want to fly."  Then I asked, "but what would you do with all those teeth?!  And do you really want to touch other peoples teeth?!"  Her response, "Moaauum, we have TONS of hanitizer that will take away the germs!  And I will keep all their teeth and make a necklace out of it, so I can bring it back to their moms one day."  Love her creative mind...So sweet...makes me want to be a tooth fairy too.

Then Lindsey took a break to smell the flowers and practice saying her favorite color, so far..."leawo".

Then they became my little monkeys in our 'Backyard Paradise'.  They kept wanting me to sit them on the bar(that they're hanging from) and dangle them upside down.  How did I end up with 2 dare devils?!  Oh yeah, I married their daddy, lol!

Lindsey says, "Ooouu Ooouu" like a monkey...

So glad my little June bugs......or monkeys.......love each other so much!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
