Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!

Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal

After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was

June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.

The dance recital is getting ready to start, and Lindsey is so excited to watch her big sister!

We were soooo proud of Hailey and everyone met her backstage after her performance...for flowers, hugs and pictures!

Hailey wanted to watch the rest of the recital...and we certainly tried, but at 11pm, Lindsey was asleep and Hailey was very tired herself, so we called it a night...with 23 dances left!  But Hailey wasn't leaving without pictures with her dance friends/teachers.  Thank goodness we found them backstage.

More performances went on all day Saturday and of course Hailey wanted to go watch.  Luckily after 2 hours the girls were ready to go...but not until they placed at the fountain for a bit...

Needless to say, all the pennies in my purse are in that fountain.  Hailey had to explain to Lindsey why people throw money into the fountain..."Lindsey, you have to make a wish and pray, then throw your penny in the water...and then it will come true!"
and yes, she had her princess, dress-up shoes on...wan't gonna fight that battle.

We had so much fun, but this weekend was very exhausting!  Funny how the next few nights before the girls went to bed, Hailey would say, "Mom, I'm gonna go practice my dance now."  And sure enough, Lindsey would follow.  Why? Because, believe it or not, after watching every dance practice, Lindsey knew almost the whole routine her self and ran through the house saying, "heel gether, heel, gether...rainbowww!" I don't know if I'll every forget those words...

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
