Hailey's 1st day of Kindergarten!

Hailey has been counting the days until she goes to school and might I add, she has never... EVER ...had any issues with seperation anxiety, so I knew she would be fine...as for me, I wasn't so sure.  But, after Back to School Night, watching Hailey's excitement helped me realize that she is so ready for school and how proud I was of her.  She is my independent girl! She wanted to pick out her own clothes, brush her own hair...and even put a little lip gloss on. She was all about purple because, she figured it might just be her teacher's favorite color... We arrived Tues. night, Aug 21, 2012 to Back to School Night and listened to all the questions as they went over the handbook. Hailey was so excited to see her teacher again and snuck a hug from her before everything got started.  Apparrently, she made an impression with all of the teachers and principal with her "good taste" of clothes and everyone's favorite color..purple!  She was right! Wedding Festivities!

So Mary & Paul tied the knot Sat, August 18, 2012, which was absolutely beautiful and wonderful weather to pull off an outdoor wedding!  The girls were so excited to be a part of their day and especially enjoyed getting "fabulous" as Hailey called it.  Warning: some of these pics are not so "fabulous"...or should I say flattering(talking about me), but this weekend was so much fun and I had to post all the pics!  Hailey & Lindsey were so excited for me to pick them up early from work so we could get all the wedding festivities started                                            First stop...Q Nails for mani's & pedi's! When we arrived, the ladies that worked their immediately said they felt Lindsey was too young and probably would not sit still o...

Smarty Pants Celebration

So, we all knew Hailey was advanced... not that we're biased or anything !  She went for her Developmental Readiness Screen with her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. St.Clair at Mineral Springs Christian School in Vinton and I've been prying to get info from her ever since.  They were behind closed doors for 30-45mins and of course they both acted as though it was top secret at first, then Hailey started remembering some of the things her teacher asked her: drawing shapes, counting, ABC's, drawing pictures of people and answering random questions about herself.  Then, about 2 weeks later, we received her Developmental Profile/scores in the mail!  It was so exciting to actually see her intelligence in numbers(scores) and confirmed that...yep, we have a smarty pants! The scores are based on ages...some were right on at 5&1/2 and some were age 6 and above!  Her Numbers/Math was 6.6!  Many, many thanks to my mom for helping and playing school with her a...
