So, we all knew Hailey was advanced...not that we're biased or anything! She went for her Developmental Readiness Screen with her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. St.Clair at Mineral Springs Christian School in Vinton and I've been prying to get info from her ever since. They were behind closed doors for 30-45mins and of course they both acted as though it was top secret at first, then Hailey started remembering some of the things her teacher asked her: drawing shapes, counting, ABC's, drawing pictures of people and answering random questions about herself. Then, about 2 weeks later, we received her Developmental Profile/scores in the mail!
It was so exciting to actually see her intelligence in numbers(scores) and confirmed that...yep, we have a smarty pants!
The scores are based on ages...some were right on at 5&1/2 and some were age 6 and above! Her Numbers/Math was 6.6! Many, many thanks to my mom for helping and playing school with her all these years and many, many thanks for good genes on both sides of the family!
Hailey was very proud of herself and so were we!! Her teacher also left a sweet little note for her:
This called for a celebration! Hailey chose to go to Sweet Frog and what better luck...flavor of the week: Cotton Candy! No other place could've been sweeter for such a sweet celebration...and trust me, the whole place including their employee(Mrs. Deana) knew exactly why we were there...Mrs. Deana even got a hug good bye for making her feel extra special...
