Just because...it was "Super Cool!"

Enthused and on a "bus" high...my sweet Hailey was not going to bed without taking pictures with her look-a-like.  Tonight was Hailey's 2nd bus ride home from Awana, which is "super cool!" per Hailey.  Tonight was also spirit night, so we got to wear apparrel of our favorite team...GO HOKIES!!  It just so happened that Hailey & I wore the same colors which was also "super cool!" Sweet Lindsey even went with us tonight sporting her pink VT sweatshirt...but fell asleep on the way home, so she was not able to partake in the photo shoot....

Warm, Cozy & Smellin' Good!

YAY!!  After cleaning out half of our basement this past weekend...getting ready for its "make-over"(thanks to all my ideas from Pinterest), my husband brings home a woodstove!  All I can say is, "BYE-BYE GAS BILL!!  Ahh, the house smells wonderful and now I'm even more excited about remodeling for the girls...playroom/craft studio...YAY!  This called for a little celebratory treat... Lindsey's 1st ice cream cone!  She was a little timid at first to hold it herself...but it didn't take long after watching her big sis to figure it out...                              So our warm, smellin' good basement renovation begins.....FINALLY!!

Lindsey Grace ~ 18 months...Petite & Perfect!

So today was Lindsey's 18 month old check which couldn't have come at a better time.  She's been fighting a cold on & off for at least a week which seemed to be getting much worse last night.  Hailey was on the defense for her sister this morning, repeating..."if they give her any shots, I'm gonna shut my eyes and ears, cause I don't want to see them hurt my sister and I don't wanna hear her cry!" Luckily, her lungs sounded clear and other than a stuffy nose, she was "perfect" according to Dr. Cummings.  Ahh, what every mother wants to hear!  Still can't have milk, but is eating all the foods that are high in calcium and loves her rice milk.  Dr. Cumming was impressed with her development and was pleased to hear how well Hailey has been assisting with teaching her the ABC's and 123's. Due to her immune system down, we decided not to proceed with any shots today which equals 2 happy girls!  The toughest part of the visit ...

Busy Weekend ~ blowing noses, birthday dinners & books!

Poor Lindsey still has the "yuckies"...thank goodness tomorrow is her 18month check-up.  Maybe( as much has I hate medicine ) they will give her a small dose of an antibiotic to kick the "yuckies" out of her system.  I know she would appreciate it and would be so grateful to never...ever see the nose suction again...ever!  I even thought it would calm her nerves to let her take it out on one of her baby dolls, but she still cringes and oh boy, she's a fighter!   Thank goodness Hailey enjoys helping me clean...after countless times washing hands, scrubing table tops, vacuuming and dispersing 1/2 of a can of lysol into the air...I think we're making progress...I think... We were able to go out a few times for Chris' and my mom's birthday dinners...Hibachi & the Home Place!  Even my Uncle Fred came in town to go with us!  We came back to my house afterwards to give mom her birthday blessing.  If you're wondering where Chris is...he decided...

Quarantined

Call me over-protective...call me what you want, but I hate germs!  And I certainly do not take my kids anywhere to share their "yuckies."  So, today was a stay at home day for the girls due to stuffy, sore, red noses.  I tried to separate the girls as much as I could, but after about 10mins...their love for each other overrides....so, what do you do?  Two forts...same room   Fort #1 Fort #2 Lindsey actually enjoyed playing in her crib...with all of her stuffed animal and baby dolls to listen to her read one of my childhood favorites, "Pat the Bunny." So, to help the "yuckies" go away...they gorged tons of liquids, apples, oranges and of course impressed mommy with their veggie eating!  As long as Hailey ate hers first, Lindsey would copy her followed by an applause...and funny faces...I think they're feeling better!  And yes, Lindsey requires both a fork & spoon, even though she prefers her fingers. It rained all day to...

Babes in Toyland!

The girls have had so much fun playing with their new toys which have made life's little lessons a big reality... share & play fair .  So hard to do when you're 4 & almost 18 months old! They both love their computer games...Hailey enjoys http://www.nickjr.com/ , http://www.sproutonline.com/ , and her new fav, http://www.icanbe.barbie.com/ .  Lindsey's favorite is, http://www.starfall.com/ .  It's so hard to share one computer, but they do enjoy playing and learning together while they finish up the leftover Christmas cookies... Lindsey stole the first kiss of the New Year!  Yes, baby Levi...or as Lindsey calls him, baby "Vevi", made an appearance and both girls got to hold him(6weeks old).  Lindsey didn't want to give him up or let him go home...she loves babies and is already becoming quite the little caretaker. After Baby Levi went home, we finished playing the Wii.  Chris & I played the Trivia game & Golf, which was...
