Practice Run for the Future ~ Part 2(Annabelle's 2nd Birthday Party)

It was friends at first sight for Lindsey and Annabelle in the nursery at church, and I hope their friendship will last forever.  I love to hear Lindsey talk about her friend "Abelle" all the way home from church.  She even renamed one of her baby dolls after Annabelle...

Sweet Annabelle

Lindsey & Annabelle enjoying the hammock & sunshine with Rachel Ridout...not to mention Rachel was feeding them candy :)

Look out! Lindsey's in the driver's seat!

Cute birthday party idea at this time of the year...Egg Hunt!  Notice Hailey hasn't changed.  She still throws back the empty egg after collecting what was inside.

Lindsey and her cute little basket to collect eggs...she found one and then a few well mannered little boys gave her a few out of their baskets...sweet! A few of the eggs had rubber bugs and some had candy. Poor little Lindsey's first egg had a rubber spider. It was quickly thrown down into the grass as she step away and said, "scared!" waving her hands, so we gave it to one of the boys.  Better luck with the second egg...chocolate!

Lindsey met some new friends who loved her simple amusement with the plastic silverware as well as conversations...

Hailey and her friend Abby.

Annabelle got an Olivia the Pig stuffed animal/backpack, which is Lindsey's favorite character as well. This pic was right before Annabelle reminded Lindsey of:  Rule of Life #23 ~ Never touch another childs sleeping Olivia doll! LOL!  Gotta love Annabelle's face...it just says it all!

So, Lindsey's power nap wasn't enough.  It was time to wrap up the fun and head home to rest...FUN DAY!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
