The Nutcracker

Twas the minute before the performance
when all was calm
not a creature was stiring
except mine....

We had fourth row seats and already squared away with the bathroom. But thanks to all the booths selling items and food, Hailey needed...something.
Yes, she spotted the cotton candy...in which she's never had, but we've talked about it.... all the clouds in Heaven are made of cotton candy, you know.

So, mommy made a dash x 2 to the cotton candy table. Why? Silly me thought they would take a credit card...but no, only cash. But, to hold my title of supermommy, I made it back to our seats just in time. And these words were worth it,
"mmmm, Mommy! You have to try this! I can't wait to go to heaven and eat the clouds everyday!"

The show was awesome and Hailey leaned to me when the prince came out saying, "mommy, I know that I said I never wanted to get married, but I think when I get older, I will marry...him."

After the show, Hailey wanted to meet all the characters and get pictures. But when she saw "Claire" and the "Prince"...she became a bit shy and hid behind me...never getting that picture of her furture husband. Oh well.

She saw some of her friends, Aliese and Olivia Viar

Then it was off to the races to get Hailey to Awana so she could Christmas shop!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...

Bible lesson & Haircuts!

Hailey had a VERY hard time with her decision to get a hair cut...especially after learning about Samson(in the Bible)!  She wants to be as strong as Samson & remembers that he lost his strength when Delilah cut his hair.  I had to make a promise to her that she would not loose her strength...but that it is healthy to trim your hair...thus, it will make it grow longer!  Glad she takes to Bible very literally though.... Kristen did a great job & Hailey liked her hair!  After her hair cut...she asked Kristen & I to feel her "bones," as she sticks out her arm.  "Wow! You are soooo strong!" we said.  Hailey was thrilled!
