A little bit of sunshine and new endeavors

The weather is warmer and the girls love our backyard paradise. I'm so grateful the both enjoy imagination play, hand-me-down swing sets and space to roam.
Hailey has been enjoying her gymnastic class, tricks at home and trying to give me gray hairs....

                                                    These girls love their trampoline!

Some of their made up games...surprise tag from the great down under...

Always time for a picture while sitting and playing on the trampoline.

They got the biggest kick out of the static electricity

Back to the swing set...looks to be nap time

But, there's always that second wind....

I was blessed to met a lady named Penny Lucas in my homehealth travels who not only talked and encouraged me to get my girls involved in Awana, but also taught the cubbies and sparks class. Isn't it amazing how God puts people in your path like that?! We belonged to another church, but started taking the girls to her church for awanas, where she soon inherited the name Miss Penny. I also stayed and became a helper.

Hailey had been excited about her first loose tooth and had shown everyone including family members who talked up the tooth fairy like she was rich. I remember Papa throwing out numbers the tooth fairy would bring, like $50 and Pepaw chiming in to agree. Others brought the price down but all I could think about was...what ever happened to a quarter? or even a dollar? Time have changed for sure. My husband and I agreed on a certain amount for the first tooth loss, but it still seemed a little steep to me.

Anyway, during sparks one evening, Hailey lost her tooth and was the most excited little girl...showing everyone to could find.

The tooth fairy came through with a letter, a certificate and a glitterfied $10 bill

In other good news, Lindsey's hair was finally long enough to have a ponytail for the first time. So many firsts....

She just wanted her picture taken too...

Well, I don't know of any parent who doesn't have bathtub pics...and what fun they had with glow in the dark wands and Lindsey's famous giggle, as well as her side eye trick for many pictures to come...that was just her thing.

Homemade forts will never get old, neither will strawberries and some of their favorite shows

                                                           One of her favorite pastimes

Ready for another night of sparks...and I let her dress herself. You win some, you lose some.

The girls were excited to help Pop and Mimi with their new garden

...and Hailey made friends with a frog

Had to finish the evening with a night jump on the trampoline

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
