Hailey's 5th Birthday Party ~ Part 2...Let the Games Begin!

Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty : Hailey was first and totally cheated on the practice round...so a little spin around and double checking the mask surely did the trick!  This was the "cheat"/practice round, when Hailey miraculously placed her bow right on the target...                                                   Take 2!!!...worked too well.  The finished product...a few of the kids caught on and started feeling for the bows before sticking theirs... Bean Bag Toss: Pinata!: All the kids received their party favor bags early the give them something to put their candy in.  The Pinata was a hit...but not literally.  This Pinata had strings...each child took turns pulling one string at a time, until someon...

Hailey's 5th Birthday Party ~ Part 1...The Gathering

Hailey's wish came true...snow on her birthday!!  Beautiful, but determining whether to postpone her party or to go on with it was such a hard decision.  With her nose pressed against the window nervously and after many phone calls...we decided to P.A.R.T.Y!                                  Her Birthday Invitation: The snow slowed down and the roads stayed clear for Hailey's party, she had a great turn out and everyone made it to the party and home safely!  She had her party at the Jefferson Center in Downtown Roanoke.  Her cake turned out so pretty and my dad brought the bouquet of flowers he gave her for Valentine's Day for a decoration...       The kids watched out the window for more friends and enjoyed watching the snow fall while everyone else mingled and ate.  ...

Hailey's Pre-Birthday Celebration

Saturday, Feb 18, 2012... Hailey has turned into quite the "girly-girl"...loving sparkles, glitter, unicorns, ballerinas, princesses, the color Pink, her newest fav ~ Hello Kitty and of course getting her nails done!  So, after her dance class, we set off the Q Nails to get a mani & pedi!  Soooo many colors to choose, soooo many chairs to sit in, soooo many fun games on the ipads?!?!  Yes, the chairs come with massage controls, ipads and dvd players...what ever happened to the simple life?  Anyway, it was a treat for the both of us.  Hailey decided on the color Blue with glitter.  I questioned why she didn't choose pink. Her response, "mom, this is my newest, most favoritest color because it's daddy's favorite color.  So, blue it is.  She decided on a shade of pink for me, which I liked.  She asked the nice oriental lady if she would design Hello Kitty on her nails, but apparrently, she was misunderstood...  Proud that Haile...

Hailey's Birthday Haircut!

So I finally talked Hailey into a haircut...a "birthday haircut" that was way overdue! She decided that she did not want bangs anymore and pointed for me to cut right above her shoulder.  I was a bit nervous, but it turned out so cute!!  We took her long locks(probably about 5-6inches) outside for the birds....we hope they enjoy it! The pictures speak louder than words...my precious "almost" 5 year old:                                                                   Before:                             ...
