Hailey's Pre-Birthday Celebration

Saturday, Feb 18, 2012...

Hailey has turned into quite the "girly-girl"...loving sparkles, glitter, unicorns, ballerinas, princesses, the color Pink, her newest fav ~ Hello Kitty and of course getting her nails done!  So, after her dance class, we set off the Q Nails to get a mani & pedi!

Soooo many colors to choose, soooo many chairs to sit in, soooo many fun games on the ipads?!?!  Yes, the chairs come with massage controls, ipads and dvd players...what ever happened to the simple life?  Anyway, it was a treat for the both of us.

Hailey decided on the color Blue with glitter.  I questioned why she didn't choose pink. Her response, "mom, this is my newest, most favoritest color because it's daddy's favorite color.  So, blue it is.  She decided on a shade of pink for me, which I liked.  She asked the nice oriental lady if she would design Hello Kitty on her nails, but apparrently, she was misunderstood...  Proud that Hailey took it well and didn't say much other than a whisper to me.."mooom, that's NOT Hello Kitty!"  She settled for polka dots...or flowers, whatever, it's cute.

(sorry for the sideways picture...could not for the life of me straighten it!)

Due to conflicting work schedules...and Hailey's birthday falling on Sunday, not everyone could come to her birthday party.  So, instead she had a pre-birthday dinner party with Nani & Pepaw and Great Papa & Great Grandma Kelly!  I dropped her off at Nani & Pepaw's house where she got a few early presents...as Lindsey snoozed right through it all!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
