Hailey's 5th Birthday Party ~ Part 4...Presents!

Everyone gathered around to watch Hailey open up her presents...as well as her entertaining and animated faces and all the "ooouuu's" & "awe's" that made everyone feel so special when she opened up their gift.  She truely loved everything!  After watching Hailey open up the gift from her (stuffed Hello Kitty), Lindsey figured playing with the balloons was more enteraining for her.  Chris and I anticipated the last present...which was from us.  Skates!!  She has been asking for skates ever since Christmas.  We just expected more of an excitement...not a questionable look.  But after she questioned, "how am I supposed to skate on only one skate?!" we understood her concern.  She was happy to find out, there was another skate in the box under the display skate!  All is well and she loves them!

Bye Bye Long Hair!

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey!
