Mermaids, Cotton Candy, Zippers & Parties!

Wow, today was wonderful!  A day off from work and time spent with my favorite 2 girls in the world!  They both love bathtime...especially Lindsey.  So, today started off with a bath per Lindsey's request, which always turns into an adventure.  Today, it involved 2 mermaids, ABC letters and and alot of kicking and splashing...sometimes you just have to make a mess to have fun.  It's only water, right?

Then it was time for "rest" and a movie!  Ahhh, I love this...could totally do this everyday!

After Lindsey went down for a nap, Hailey and I went outside to play on this beautiful "spring-like" February day.  I love that we don't need anything to have a good time...just a old swing set, a game of tag and looking for pictures in the clouds, or as Hailey likes to think of them...Cotton Candy!  She also explained to me that God and Jesus likes to zip & unzip the sky to "peek" at us...so, you better be on your best behavior!

So what do you think she saw? What do you see?

I thought it looked like a crab...but according to Hailey, I was soooo wrong!  Of course, it's an Angel!

                                                       And this one?...any guesses?
Of course, it's the famous Olivia the pig with her tutu on! Can't you see that?

And we saw so many zippers....

Our day ended with a birthday party...a little bit much for little Lindsey, but the sweet birthday girl herself was so kind to help entertain Lindsey.  All these little girls sitting in the fast seat...grow up too fast!

How sweet it is the see friendship last for so long.  Hailey and Aliese have been friends ever since they were born...literally!  Here they are at 4 months old...1st play date(Hailey's the one laying on the floor).

And again at 8 months for their 1st Halloween...

And now look....5 years later...still best friends!

                                                                    How Sweet!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
