Engagement!!!

Wow, this is loooong overdue!  Where do I start?
Okay...long ago, on Feb 23, 2005, my boyfriend(Chris Vandergrift) had a fabulous idea...Chinese take out(his favorite!) & inviting some friends over to our townhouse.  Everything was going according to plan & then I received a call from Chris' sister.  She wanted to come over too!  Her explaination was as follows: to use up the film in her camera on our dog, so she could get her pics developed...likely story, lol...& I bought it!  The more the merrier, right?
After dinner, Chris...who might I add, is NOT a "sweets eater" pulled out half of a carrot cake from the frig for dessert.  Strange!?  His sister, Mary insisted that, "if I have to eat a piece, you have to eat one with me!"  For any of you who know me, I usually don't turn don't food, so I accepted.  Chris served everyone...me 1st..with a silly grin on his face....along with a bunch of stares, picture taking & silly grins....Strange #2!?
Then, low & behold...I looked down at my piece of cake & WUAAA LAAA...bling, bling!  Yep, there...stuck in my cake, was a diamond ring!!!
And so it begins....the story of my life!
I had no idea my sneaky, soon to be sister in law was taking pics...isn't he cute!
Grins & silly faces as my cake sits in front of me & I had NO CLUE, lol!
Bling~Bling...notice I'm already outta my seat!
big hugs & kisses to my love!!
Had to get a pic with my sneaky...soon to be sister in law, that I love & glad she captured these moments!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
