LABOR!!!! & Delivery

Everyone has their birth stories along with "things" that helped them go into labor.  I had always heard my mom's story...hot & exhausted of carrying me throughout the summer months, she finally decided to take a jog around their house, which sent her into labor...thus, here I am.  Sooooo, on Friday,  Feb 17, 2007 as I was leaving work, I told all my co-workers that I was going to have this baby over the weekend & would not be back on Monday!  Their response was...laughter? and "this is your 1st baby...don't be surprised if you're still pregnant in another 2 weeks."  OH...NO!!  Not this mama!
I was exhausted when I arrived home...swollen legs and all!  But that didn't stop me from dustin' off that old treadmill in the basement.  Yep, just a brisk walk & a little bit of a jog....NOTHING!  So, on Saturday, I decided to go run a few errands with Chris...slowly starting to feel cramps in my low back...:(  Finally, later that evening, they became worse & not knowing what to expect...we were scared.  So Chris called to L&D dept at the hospital & they didn't think that I was in labor, but told us to come on in to get checked.
Arriving at the hospital, things seemed to subside & the verdict was...I was being too active?!  REALLY?!  So, they sent me home.  Told me to take a warm bath, get something to eat & stay hydrated.  Well, upset that we got sent home, I didn't feel like eating...  Chris ended up getting me a sandwich from Sheetz anyway & took it home.  After staring at my sandwich for 10mins as Chris made phone calls to the family to tell them it was a fluke, something happened!!!  Oh my...thinking, Chris will NEVER let me live it down after being sent home & then this!!  So, smart me...ever so subtle...DARTED to the bathroom & locked the door!  Chris noticed:)  And being the wonderful husband that he is...did not break the door down, but just talked me through my water breaking & MAJOR cramps!  So, needless to say, after 10mins of being home, we headed back to Lewis Gale Medical Center...which only took, ummm 15mins!  I think Chris was a tad bit nervous, lol!
Everything went well...according to me...the one that noone told anything to.  But, apparently Hailey's heartbeat kept dropping & would not return back to normal unless they cont'd to turn me throughout the night & more frequent after 11hrs in labor....thank you Jesus for epidurals!!!
So, Hailey arrived a day before she was due, Monday morning....I told my co-workers, lol!!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
