Our Little Peanut

I was 5 weeks pregnant when I found out...it was June 17, 2006, a day before Father's Day.  I took 2 pregnancy tests, because I just couldn't believe it!  I immediately got in my car, drove to K-mart & got Chris his very 1st Father's Day card...that's how I told him(but I was exploding w/ excitement and told the cashier lady first...shhh, don't tell!:).  So when Chris got home, I gave him the card as I was just about to jump up & down!!...SILENCE...followed by, the classic response, "are you serious?"  How romantic.  Anyway, it took a day or 2 to sink in, but we were both overjoyed over our little peanut!

Our Little Peanut!  Chris & I just knew that we were destined to have a boy...& had already picked out his name, Charles Robert Vandergrift and we were going to call him Charlie:)  We were so exicted & bets were being made whether it would be a boy or a girl.  So, it was finally time to find out!!  To our surprise...it was a GIRL?!?!  What?!  That change our whole world upside down!  Shocked but excited, Chris & I went out for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's & called all of our family members to tell them the news!  Then, we thought...what are we going to name her?  Oh boy!  There were soooo many names thrown at us, then Chris finally decided that HE was going to name her & give her my middle name(spelled different)...she would be called Hailey Lynn Vandergrift....I liked it!

So here's Hailey's 4-D ultrasound...:)  Precious!  She was a "kicker"...but kept me so warm through the winter months!

My last baby shower...about 1-2weeks before she decided to enter this world!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
