Dec 3, 2011 was our 6th wedding anniversay and this December marks our 9th year together! Wow...so much has happened in the 6 years we've been married and we are so blessed with our 2 special little girls, a roof above our heads and much more!
So Chris decided to plan our day...just the 2 of us! It all started with a few pictures, lol...#1 ~ You know you're in love when your husband who despised getting his picture taken, attempts to snap a few, ummm...not so planned pics! Started with attempt #1...not ready yet, but he thought it was "in the moment" which adds character...

Nice! Attempt #2.... |
Thinking making faces will inhibit you wife placing your pic in the blog...sooo untrue, sorry hunny! Soooo, attempt #3 = wife takes control of the camera for a more serious pose...finally! So the day begins.... After lounging in a very quite house for a while, reminicing about our wedding day & wishing we could celebrate by hopping on a plane back to Jamaica..... #2 ~ You know you're in love when you husband, who does NOT enjoy crowds of people, takes you SHOPPING!! Yes, we Christmas shopped for the girls and got so much accomplished! That's such a relief and was so fun to pick out...& play with the toys ourselves. He even drove me from one side of town to the other without any eye rolls or complaining so I could go to one of my fav stores to purchase Hailey's annual snowglobe & Lindsey's angel for their collective Christmas presents at Tuesday Mornings...LOVE that store! So, after shopping, Chris wanted to show me one of his client's house...in case you don't know...my husband works in the granite business. And WOW...the client was actually outside, enjoying his HU.MON.GOUS. backyard patio with an outdoor kitchen and a covered sitting area with a brick/granite fireplace, watching a football game on his flatscreen TV mounted above the fireplace...HA! Must be nice...anyway, I was very proud of my husband & his awesome work! So, it was time for our dinner reservations... #3 ~ You know you're in love when your husband...who enjoys his cut off sleeve shirts & camo shorts, dresses up and takes you to a fancy restaurant! Yes, he took me to Coach & Four...fabulous! (http://www.coachandfour.com/) And talking about wining & dining...he ordered a fabulous & very delicious spread consisting of: bacon wrapping scallops, stuffed mushrooms w/ crabmeat, a king size prime rib, stuffed flounder w/ crabmeat, a salad & sides...did I mention, we like food?! Unfortunately, they did not have our wedding cake flavor that we normally order on our anniversary...Red Velvet...:( But, after all that food we had no room for dessert anyway. At Coach & Four they usually bring out what they call a Baked Alaskian dessert that they set on fire ( for special occasions), but we couldn't even attempt to eat anything else. So, instead...here is a pic of our fabulous wedding cake that my wonderful sister in law made for our Wedding day, December 3, 2005: Stuffed & exhausted from a wonderful day together...we couldn't do anything else than head home & crash! Happy Anniversary to us...and many more to come! |
