Christmas morning started off with a race to see if Santa had come...and he did! Hailey was so excited to see that he enjoyed his cookies so much that he left a note of appreciation as well as a reminder to continue to be a good little girl. He was so thankful that she thought of his reindeer also(with the carrots & apples)....but no comment about the rice milk, next year we'll have to remember the almond milk.
Their stockings were stuffed with all kinds of goodies...Santa pez dispensers, candy, oranges & even plush lamps! They were so soft & even had a scent of baby powder...
Lindsey wasn't so sure about sticking her hand down into a sock...not much on surprises. She had to peek first, but then was excited...more so about the oranges than the candy.
The girls opened Santa's presents 1st...I guess they were both good this year. Hailey got excited what she wanted...a Fur Real Dog with a leash & he was sooo generous, that he gave Lindsey a Fur Real Puppy with a bottle to feed it. All I can say is..they LOVE their dogs!
Then onto the rest of the presents. Chris & I have started a collection for both girls...every year Hailey gets a snowglobe & Lindsey gets an Angel....
Lindsey is 17 months old & loves babydolls! As a matter of fact, Chris told everyone, that she would like a babydoll for Christmas...great. Anyway, when Chris & I went shopping, Chris found a babydoll that giggles & shakes. I particularly did not think it was "the" one, but...yep, you guessed it, he could not part with this doll that made him laugh so much in the store and had to get it for Lindsey. She wasn't so sure about holding the doll at first, but after it began to make her laugh, she gave her a hug... she dare not squeeze her left hand though...too much shakin' going on!
Remember the webble wobbles...but they don't fall down?! I didn't know they still made them...fun!Hailey got her wish...kind of. She always makes a wish when she sees a bright star. And if her wish is not for Jesus to hurry up and come back to take us all the Heaven...then it's a unicorn.
I can honestly say, that I am so thankful I married a man who finds odd/necessity gifts exciting...yes, forks & plates for Christmas! Elimination ---> rummaging around in the kitchen mumbling, "we never have any forks around here." YAY! He also got Dallas Cowboys apparrel & his annual 32oz pump bottle of biofreeze that he's been looking forward to since running out a few weeks ago from last year's bottle.
Our Family surprise was a Wii station w/ games & much more...thanks to a great friend, Laurin Austin!! We thank you! The girls & even Chris were thrown off with the diaper box & my wrapping skills... |
The girls got alot of books this year...they both love reading books & I'm so thankful for that. Tons of Olivia and Toot & Puddle books, but the favorite this year, was the book about Heaven! So exciting & wow...so much to look forward to!
And as for me...my husband said, "I never know what to get you." Well, I think he did pretty good!
