:O Christmas Tree

Dec 12 ~ We finally got our Christmas tree!  We decided to wait a little bit longer this year, not knowing if we would be chasing Lindsey down every second and also remembering last year ~ the year our tree died. Yes, we literally had to cut it apart inside to remove it & ugh... cleaning up pine needles from the moment we bought it, until...well, this year!

To our amazement, Lindsey has not tried to pull it over, take the ornaments off or hang on the limbs! YAY!  As a matter of fact, from the moment we plugged in the lights to make sure they worked, she cheered saying, " yaaay...lights...bubbles!"  Also, the tree gave her a great hiding place for one of her newest fav games.  "Peek-e-boo..." as she says.

Hailey was a great help this year decorating the tree without me having to worry about her hooking herself with the ornaments this year...she even made some homemade ornaments & decorated with some of her hairbows...hey, whatever works, right.  If you look back at the 1st pic...you'll notice a pink flower(on the right) in the tree...hair clip, it was a must per Hailey!  She did get a little upset when the tree topper/star would not work, so we rigged up a star for her mini-christmas tree in her room which, so far, seems to make her feel a little better.

This past weekend, after a marathon of "Fossy" aka, Frosty the Snowman per Lindsey...her newest found love, I decided to take a few pics of the girls for their Christmas pictures...that's always interesting and you just have to hope for the best, because when they're done...they're DONE!!  But, I got a few good ones after playing "peek-e-boo" behind the camera & singing the ABC's:

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...

"Bootyful"

Are there any words for this?  I think every mother just loves to sneak a pic at moments like these: (Sorry girls...one day you'll understand when you become a mommy!) My little monkey, Lindsey Grace(2yrs): As opposed to Hailey's bootyful pic at 7 months:                                                                        Love them!!
