Myrtle Beach 2011 ~ Part 1

Lindsey's so excited about her 1st beach trip at 10 months old, May 2011 thanks to mommy winning a free vacation through facebook at Oceans One Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC!  Enjoying her puffs by the pool....

Hailey excited to be at the beach too...because it's her 1st time to the Ocean too!

Her 1st reaction to the ocean..."wow...that's reeeeallly big!"

they loved playing in the sand...

napping on the beach...who wouldn't with the sound of the wave & the breeze?!

Hailey's favorite place to be...the lazy river ride w/ daddy!  But only the the "wild kids" weren't around.  I'm sure she'll never forget the morning I took the girls down the the pool before they turned the "current" on in the river ride...nice, peaceful, relaxing....then, yep...here comes the "wild kids!"  While holding both girls in the cove the get away from the current & the kids....all of the sudden, WACK!  We didn't know what hit us...in the head....followed by the reaction of letting go of Hailey to see if Lindsey was okay...followed by panick!!  Poor Hailey didn't know how to swim & here I am...mad as a hornet, holding a crying baby & trying to snatch Hailey up out of the water!  Looking around to see what the heck that was....all I could see was a mother standing bedside the pool sayin, "did that hit you?"...ummm, duh!  No discipline for the kids....disappointing!  So I had to explain to Hailey why I dropping her in the water & why we had to leave because apparrently the other kids did not have any manners...nor did the parents for that matter!  So needless to say, Chris made his presence known when Hailey requested to go to the lazy river ride from that point on...

Taking pics with my sweet Lindsey on the balcony!

Thank goodness for beach tents & naps on the beach!

lil' stinker wouldn't keep her hat on...

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
