The Story of an Angel & a Lamb ~ Halloween 2011

My sweet little lamb at Hailey's Halloween Dance Class...

I thought it was such a cute idea to have all the kids dress up for class...Hailey is the Angel!  Goodness, she changed her mind sooo much this year!  From Rapunzel to the Swan Princess to an Angel...glad she chose the Angel...after getting a looooong blonde wig that tangled & shed everywhere!

I love her tail!!!

Hailey wasn't feeling well:(  But really wanted a halloween cupcake from her dance teacher.

Her good friend, Catherine.

Can't believe Lindsey is even big enough to ride Hailey's old rocking horse, much less get on herself...big accomplishment!

watching daddy carve the 'Great Pumpkin'...I believe there were power tools involved in that this year!  Proud of daddy though...he drew the face by hand.

The girls got halloween presents from Nani...boots!  Even though, Hailey wasn't feel well...she had to be fashionable for her new boots.

Hailey was such a good sport this year.  Due to not feeling well, we didn't feel that she needed to be out in the cold.  I promised her we would stay in & make halloween cupcakes and she could be in charge of passing out the candy.  I was so proud of her...no whinning involved, actually she was excited to she all the kids & handed every last piece of candy out!  We had a line down our driveway, but every kid got the "right" piece of candy and the approval of their costume by Hailey, lol!  There was a little boy dressed in all black with a scary mask...I was hoping that Hailey wouldn't get scared & sure enough, she opened the door and said, "You think you're scary...BUT you don't scare MEEEE!!!"  LOL...I love her!  Even the boy pulled his mask off and had a laugh with Hailey.

cupcake time...

Lindsey approved!

Finalized! ~ Hailey's Ballerina Bedroom Redo

I am totally singing the  HALLELUJAH CHORUS !  After months of contemplating Hailey's bedroom redo and realizing after I started that this was harder than expected with tons of DIY projects...it's DONE!!   Well, at least for now.  Possible that I will continue with cosmetic procedures later, but for now...here it is... Just a walk down memory lane... even though it's totally embarrassing with overflow of clutter in which I strongly dislike... Oh my...look at the bedskirt, lol!  Felt a tad bit sorry for Lindsey who thought she belonged with her favorite stuffed animals in the hammock.... But anyway, after painting her walls pink and hand painting sillhouettes of ballerinas...it was on!  I have been so greatful that God placed the perfect people in my path to finish Hailey's room with one of the Dance mom's, Jenna Pratt who exchanged a ballerina comforter set plus pillows and curtains for a video baby monitor...absolutely perfect! ...

Hailey's Dance Recital 2012

May 29, 2012...Hailey's 2nd time on the big stage!  Here she is getting ready for her 1st tap dance rehersal/recital as Pocahontas!  She's been waiting for this and loves make-up & hair day!  Lindsey enjoyed the almost vacant auditorium & watching with her friend Ella Pratt for their rehersal After rehersal...it was time to get ready for the real deal...so Mommy/Daughter mani's it was June 2, 2012...the Real Deal...can't even describe her excitement and once again, she insisted that she had no nervous bones in her body.                              Backstage with her dance friends...Autumn & Hailey Hailey & Kennedy sit in the balcony, waiting for the recital to start(at the Roanoke Civic Center)              ...

Down memory lane - Winter 2013

If there's one thing I love most, it's snow days!! Down time with fun in the snow and hot chocolate, cuddles and watching some of our favorites like Toot & Puddle, Franklin, Little Bear, The Berenstain Bears, Olivia, The Backyardigans, Sofia the First...or any Christmas movie, especially the Polar Express!  We love snow days!!                                   Nothing better than waking up to snow and homemade fun. The girls decided to dress up our snowlady and chose Snow White after looking through their dress-up clothes...neither of them wanted snow white to melt....   After thawing out and a warm bath, Lindsey always enjoyed playing with her playhouse and would always holler for me to come find her and let me know she was in her house. She loved how she could fit inside and imagination play.... . Lindsey started getting a cold but continued to smile....I mean, who doesn't love that baby...
