Chaos & Sleepless nights...Tis the season!

My motto for tonight ~ "if you can't sleep....edit pics & blog."  Yes, it's 1:30am on Nov 29th and I'm awake due to a little caffeine(I knew better!) & my windchimes dancing in this fabulous rain storm...haven't been awake at this hour in a loooong time!  Tomorrow should be a fun day at work....

With a 4 year old & a 16 month old...so much can happen in the blink of an eye!  The day after Thanksgiving the girls & I dug out all of our indoor Christmas decor..BUT, I realized that I had way too many breakables so I was a bit nervous.  Luckily(just kidding!), Lindsey ran out of diapers...might I add, this was "Black Friday!"  Great.  So, thinking I had a plan, we headed off to K-Mart for diapers and possibly a good deal on shelves to hold my decor....ummm, BAD IDEA!  K-Mart was crazy, cashier lady was not nice, no shelves, and waited in line for 10 mins for the diapers & Frosty the Snowman(yes, I'm a sucker for cheap movies...especially Christmas ones!)

Since we were out and I really wanted some shelves...the next best stop was Lowes.  And hallelujah, hardly anyone there, no wait for the lines and I walked out with 3 48" shelves & 1 24" shelf for under $60...bargain!

After figuring out where to put them and then realizing Chris was still in the woods hunting, my dad came to my rescue and put them up for me!  And I LOVE them!!

Christmas decor with Chris' off-road trophies...he won't let me take those down for nothin', lol!

The girls were so excited to see all the Christmas decor, movies, stuffed animals & daddy!  He came home a day early to see his girls.  Hailey was tossing one of the stuffed animals up in the air, when it hit a plaque that I have above one of my picture frames...knocking it off the wall & landed on her little head...poor thing!  Pain & drama go hand in hand with her...so we played one of our popular games,  "Let's make a Deal."  It worked and she got the hold the cold cloth & apply pressure...after a few minutes, she took a look..."Moooaaaam!"  There's bleed!  Is all my bleed gonna come out?!"  Followed by round 2 of tears.  She was fine after realizing she was going to live.  The next day, she wanted to see her boo-boo & the best way was to take a picture:

As for Lindsey, through all the decorating/shopping chaos & boo-boo's, she has been having some serious cravings...from bananas to yogurt to mommy!  I couldn't tell you how many times she came in the kitchen, tugging on my pants hollering, "nanas?!" and "yagart?!"  Soooo, tonight(or should I say last night) mommy became the hero after a Kroger trip to get her fav's!  She enjoyed every last drop...

Might I add...she ate 2 bananas & a full cup of greek yogurt!

Hailey's 6th Birthday 'Gymnastics' Party!

Bye Bye Long Hair!

So, I usually wait until I'm sitting in the chair at the hair salon to decided exactly what I want to do with my hair.  I've been going to the same hair dresser for over 10years and she knows me well.  I mentioned that Hailey has been wanting me to cut my hair short for a while now...similar to when I cut it off when she was only 15months old.  She has held onto a picture of me with short hair...so.....last minute decisions, decisions.                                                    Bye Bye long hair!  Hello short hair!  Hailey was very surprised & happy when my sister brought her the the salon to see the after math!  So, she requested to go home and take pictures of us...and it wouldn't b...

1st Day of Fall 2012

What can I say, other than the 1st day of fall is absolutely beautiful! (even though my girls want to watch Christmas movies today).  Hailey isn't feeling very well, but managed to play outside and enjoy the weather for a little while...and of course get a few pics of the kiddos with our glamorous glittering pumpkins...so girly! Some other accomplishments this week...Hailey read the bedtime story 2 nights ago...might have been a "Dick & Jane" book, but mommy was so proud! Lindsey has taken on "spitting" which we are trying to break!  She also gets a big kick out of putting her mouth on mine or Chris' belly and blowing, followed by, "I pooted!!"  Yep, I think she might be our tomboy...  Hailey had the best attempt at getting Lindsey to try to stop spitting by saying, "Lindsey! Stop spitting or you're going to turn into a BOY!!"  Lindsey responded, "Oh noooo!" with her hands on her cheeks and hasn't att...
